Would flower petals spelling PROM on my girlfriend’s bed be a good way to ask her to prom?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

I’ve been dating this girl for over a month now, and I really like her. I like to do the romantic stuff, and would using rose petals arranged to spell "PROM" be a good way to ask her? She’ll be gone for a class trip for 10 days over Spring Break, so I’d set this up for when she gets home.

Yep

Do it.

She’ll be so impressed, you may also get some!

Which cut flowers make the best, long-lasting fresh flower arrangements?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

I live in North Carolina, if that matters. Looking for an arrangement that has height and is aromatic, if possible.

Carnations and mums last the longest of the easy to obtain cut flowers. Sprays of orchids are long lasting too. Blue iris and lilies are the shortest lived. You can extend the life of flowers in a vase by keeping them as cool as possible and recutting the stems and changing the water every day.

Anybody know a good site for wedding floral arrangement ideas?

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

I was just looking for a good site to peruse some flower arrangement ideas. I’ve googled, but it’s all such a random jumble of stuff that I really don’t have time to go through (I’m a college student in the middle of midterms), and my soon-to-be mother-in-law is very insistant that we give her an idea of what we want NOW.

Like I said, just a general site with some examples of possible arrangements. We were thinking something blue/purple/turquoise, if that’s of any concern to anyone.
