Help with an idea for a flower arrangement?

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Well, in our county fair the theme is "A Treasure Chest for the County’s Best" It has to be a flower arrangment with dried artificial or real flowers.

I was thinking that the base would be a treasure map on sandpaper or something anyother ideas or some kind of link will be appreciated.

arrange them IN a treasure chest made of wicker weave.

and use lots of golden flowers, like sunflowers and the occasional red / blue / white dotted spray.

arrange so the chest is open and the flowers are like the gold bounty within.

Using a shot glass, any ideas on making a gift?

Tuesday, May 25th, 2010

I was thinking some sort of small flower arrangement, idk anythin, just throw out any ideas.
Thanks

oh and no etching!
Andnit is for a girl!! Not wedding though

Shot Glass ~ meant for small amount of alcohol taken straight up, chaser for some,

http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shot_glass

you could try small miniature type of flowers, there are some that may fit nicely as a mini bouquet, or make fake flowers out of craft kits,

maybe place in a small jewelry box with a note and other related gift as memorabilia,

you could find small rum bottle or rum flavoring for cooking, and add candle and place-mat with another glass and small flowers, sort of like a mini tea set,

figure out a list of things she likes, pets, music, places, and find small miniature to go in cup with, and add personal note,

find label sticker kit and place sentimental quote on side of glass,

find clear liquid epoxy resin, and place diamond promise ring in glass, then fill with resin, as keepsake,

if glass already has personal history to it, you could mail it to her, parcel post or special delivery with message and gift card for somewhere , wine store, shoe store, movie tickets, sport tickets,

maybe don’t give it directly to her, but place it somewhere where she can find it, and have message and flowers or gift included.

What do you think about the stargazer lilly wedding flowers?

Monday, May 10th, 2010

I am planning a wedding in July and at first thought about doing the turquoise and brown wedding, but now I am leaning more toward turquoise, black, and silver…..I’m wondering, however, if the pink stargazer lilly flowers would look okay to incorporate in with flower arrangements??? Any ideas????

Stargazers are lovely, but they tend to have a … strong scent.

Also, if you plan on having them in your bouquets, make sure you tell your florist to remove the pollen. The pollen is orange and it stains. Easily.

If you really want bright pink flowers (which I think would be beautiful; my girls wore turquoise dresses and carried bright pink bouquets), you might want to consider:

purple, pink and white flower ideas for a summer wedding in the UK?

Sunday, March 28th, 2010

I’ve recently got engaged so me and my fiance are trying to figure out cost and ideas for our wedding which hopefully will be around june 2011. I really don’t know much at all about flowers as i have quite bad allergies but would still love a few flower arrangements at the wedding. Which flowers would work with my colour theme and be cheap at that time of year?

Also does anyone have any ideas for alternative table pieces other than flowers?
Thanks in advance

It was a long time ago, but I remember attending a reception once where there were floating candles on the tables. The water that the candles were floating on was colored different colors using liquid food coloring. It was really pretty. Also, you could do votive candles surrounded by those small glass stones. The stones come in many different colors. Congratulations, and may you have a lifetime of happiness together.
