Do Gerber Daisies make good wedding flowers?

I love gerber daisies and was considering using them for bouquets and centerpieces. I am planning on buying the flowers online and arranging them myself. I would just like to know if they are easy to work with and durable. How long do they usually last before wilting?

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!! My friend is doing them in her wedding they look so cute her colors are orange and white and she got centerpieces in those colors I love Gerber daisies and totally recommend them 4 weddings!:]

Gerber Daisies are an amazing flower because they are so durable and come in so many great colors. Whenever I see one of these daisies, I cannot help but smile.

Because the heads on the daisies are so heavy, you will notice that clear green straws usually are encased around their stems, particularly when in a vase to prevent the flowers from bending over. And, this is not because they wilt easily, it is just the what happens after they are picked, no matter how fresh they are. So, ask for stem straws.

Gerber Daisies are very long lasting flowers while still on the plant and when cut. Do a google search to find out which arrangements are best for these daisies and you are sure to find something you can be inspired by.

Hi there. I used to work at a flower shop and do wedding bouquets. The only thing with Gerbera daisies is they like to wilt. The best part about them is they come in the most beautiful colors! Anywhere from 5 to 15 (an odd number works the best usually) would look great for your BM bouquets but they end up to be longer, slimmer bouquets usually…unless you use tons of filler. Sometimes for your bouquets its nice to add roses or another flower to make the bouquet bigger and more full. Also, they some in lots of sizes. I hope that helps! Good luck!

They can make excellent flowers for your wedding but there are a few things to keep in mind. 1 is that they will to be wired or the stems will turn and wilt. Also, if they are handled too much the petals of the flowers can bruise pretty easily.

I was at a wedding that had potted Gerber Daisies as the centerpieces in stained glass pots of their wedding colors. I thought it was really pretty.

I love Gerbera Daisies myself, and they would be good for the centerpieces and maybe a FEW in your bouquet, but once they are cut…they wilt easily (without water.)

I was at a wedding not too long ago and they used gerberas for the men’s boutonnieres, and by the end of the ceremony, the bouts were already wilted.

I used them and they were great! I ordered just the flowers from a florist and arranged them myself. They were very easy to work with and they were beautiful. They lasted a very long time. they were delivered to me the morning of the wedding, and they lasted for about a week and a half after the wedding. I even brought one of the flowers with me on the honeymoon :) I had no problems with the boutinierres wilting or any of that.
