I'm not an expert on flowers, but I do understand that Lily of the valley flowers do not hold up very well at all. They get droopy very fast -- also arent normally around in July.

My suggestion is to talk to a florist-- they give you a free consultation, you dont owe them anything for the suggestions. Even if you are doing your own bouquets, you could still order the flowers through the florist for their freshness.

You may want to go to a craft store -- Michaels, JoAnne fabric and just browse through their silk flowers ---- see what flowers you really like and what you think look good together. Will give you a great idea what a fresh bouquet will look like. But, again, the florist will give you some really amazing suggestions, and very practical suggestions also, of what would be best together -- as well as what flowers will work the best in a bridal bouquet.
References :
Go to your local craft store - AC Moore is good if you have one and put fake flowers together to see how they look.
