Making your own cat toy question!?
My rescued kitty recently let outside goes mad for tall grass and i was wondering if it would be safe to get some fake grass (like u get in flower arranging) or straw to play with? Also would it be horrid if i got her a peacock feather? The feather wouldnt hurt her if eaten would it?
I wouldn’t get fake grass – if he swallows it, it’ll get tangled up inside him and cause serious problems. They sell seeds for cat grass at pet stores and it’s very easy to grow so you could keep a pot of that inside for him.\
One of my cats loves feathered toys; as long as it’s natural and not dyed to enhance the color, there’s nothing wrong with buying one for her. It’s natural so if she swallows any, she can just digest it.

I would avoid getting "fake" grass in case kitty decides to eat it. Buy some "cat grass" at a pet store. If you get the feather, only let her play with it when you can watch her. Eating it may not be the best for her.

Feather, no problem. Fake grass…not good.

im not sure if the feather would hurt her or not but my homemade cat toy is just a simple piece of string. i have four cats and they all love it.
